TEHAG Scholarships

The first call for applications to the TEHAG Scholarship (2022) is currently open. Applications should be submitted before 31st December 2022.

Purpose:

The Thermal Energy Harvesting Advocacy Group (TEHAG) aims to foster general knowledge/awareness and policy and regulation regarding waste-heat-to-power technologies, and therefore the use of ORC power plants and systems for both stationary and mobile applications.

The TEHAG scholarship is a competitive grant for young researchers intended to support the preparation of the second version of TEHAG white paper. The nominee is expected to work on the revision and improvement of the current document, and on the new chapters related to ORC technology for ship engines and economic viability of industrial ORC power plants.

Throughout the project, the researcher will have the unique opportunity to interact and cooperate with top researchers in the field, as well as with EU officers and industry professionals. The possibility of influencing decisions of the stakeholders involved in the EU green deal is also envisioned.

The scholarship covers travel and accommodation costs for up to a maximum of €2,000 per month related to a visiting stay in Delft for 6 months. The 1st call for proposals is now open until the 31th of December 2022. Evaluation will be completed before the end of January 2023 and the scholarship can start as soon as April 2023.
